"chocolate"

According to a pal who works in the entertainment industry, there apparentlly is code going around for cocaine: chocolate. I imagine this is the update to "dust" and "party favor."

And it's still endlessly going around that all these skinny blond girls on the big screen--even the uber-innocent seeming ones--are doing a lot of chocolate.

People, when will it all end?

For years now I've gradually come to the conclusion that being rich and famous just isn't worth the misery. Though we all claim we'd be able to handle it. But I wonder.

Don't spam me, a**holes.

Please, if you think about putting a comment up here to advertise your blog, stop.
I don't know how else to stop you, but it's adding stupid emails to my email box and you know what? I'm not going to your blog. Ever. Okay?
thanks.

Big news day

This is way too late to post all this. But working where I do, in tv production of the pop culture sort, I heard about Nick and Jessica right about when it was posted on Defamer (meaning several hours, shockingly, before anyone else published the news. God bless defamer.) Then I hear, "Oh and can you believe Katie's pregnant?" right after lunch, and I hop on -yes- defamer, and there it is. As a result, taping for my show was pushed almost an hour. but hey, the people need to know.

And of course, supposedly the Simpsons are doing fine and there is no such divorce. I hate to say it--sometimes, I have a salacious need to read gossip. But I wouldn't miss it. I always thought everyone was like me, with an admiration for entertainers but a casual disgust for their idolatry. And then I saw a Dr Phil where teenaged girls were wanting to be just like Paris, and then I realized why celebrity culture has exploded. Oh well.

In any case, I'm now dreaming about working for NPR. You know, to flush out all the toxins.
